Rob Lake has mesmerized thousands of audiences around the globe with his unique blend of amazing grand illusions and spellbinding theatrics. At age 25, he is the youngest magician ever to receive the coveted Merlin award (magic's highest honor) and be named Stage Magician of the Year by the International Society of Magicians, the world's largest magic organization.
Rob was born and raised in Oklahoma. Growing up Rob had his sight fixed on the stage and always knew he would one day work in entertainment. At age ten Rob's family attended the Kirby VanBurch magic show in nearby Branson, Missouri, and immediately Rob knew he wanted to become a magician. Rob returned to Branson each following year and Kirby soon became Rob's mentor. Throughout his school years Rob perfected his craft by performing at local school, church and civic events. By age 16, Rob's talent was recognized on a national scale when Rob was named America's Greatest Young Magician by the Fox Family Channel.
Rob soon migrated to Branson where he became Kirby's apprentice and protégé, and before long Rob was performing his own show in theatres across the country. Immediately Rob began receiving rave reviews for his nation wide performances. In 2005, at age 22, Rob took his large illusions to Japan for a 4-month record setting tour. Following Japan, Rob performed for Disney Cruise Lines, Holland America Cruises, and many theatres, casinos and special events across the USA. In 2007 Rob returned to Japan for a second tour.
In addition to performing, Rob continues sharing his love for magic and theatre and has created illusions for many of today's top magicians as well as designed illusions for numerous theatrical productions across the globe, including over 100 productions of Disney's Beauty & the Beast the Broadway Musical.
In May 2008 Rob performed five of his illusions for an upcoming nationally-broadcasted television special, Great Magicians of the World (broadcast set for 2009). Rob's theatrical show, A Night of Magic is currently on tour in the USA.
